You are standing on a fair sized redwood deck. The boards throughout the deck are at least three inches thick, dark red in color, and show no signs of weathering. The floorboards are about eight inches wide and run diagonally northwest to southeast. Four foot tall railings cover the deck on the three sides that are not against the house. On the west end of the deck sits a large, black, propane grill. To the north are three steps that lead down to the backyard. To the south is a sliding glass door that leads into the kitchen. The hot tub is bubbling slowly from the massaging jets. Hot tub is invitingly empty.
