ComMOOnity was started on November 5th, 1996 as an experiment in human factors and human
computer interaction at the Human-Computer Cooperative Problem Solving Lab at the University
of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign campus. It has since grown to encompass a vast array of uses.
Experiments and projects are still held on cmoo, and it still functions as an outlet for
novice and experienced programmers to let loose their creativity.
The creative programming that has been going on for the past ten years here has resulted in a large population of fun and interesting objects. While some of which can be enjoyed from a browser, most of them can only be accessed by logging into cmoo directly. |
